The Challenge
The client required a high-specification insulation solution to meet strict energy efficiency targets for the new build. Our team had to carefully select materials and methods to achieve optimal U-values and long-term thermal performance.
Our Solution
To achieve the required thermal performance, our team installed Superbead bonded bead insulation (0.033 λ value) (link to KIWA cert) throughout the property’s cavity walls. This high-performance insulation system provided excellent coverage, reduced heat loss, and ensured full compliance with current building regulations. The use of Superbead also offered long-term durability and moisture resistance—ideal for Northern Ireland’s climate. The installation was completed efficiently and integrated seamlessly within the wider new build schedule.

Excellent Thermal Performance: Once input, the small polystyrene beads expand and bond together, creating a long-lasting thermal barrier. Durable and Long-Lasting: The bonded bead system doesn’t settle or degrade over time, therefore installation of the bonded bead insulation will provide consistent insulation performance for the lifetime of the property.
Breathable and Moisture-Resistant: Bonded bead cavity wall insulation allows walls to breathe while preventing moisture from tracking across the cavity. The property now has a reduced risk of damp or mould compared to some older insulation materials.
Quick, Clean Installation: Small holes were drilled in the external walls, and the bonded bead insulation was fed through to fill the cavities. This was complete in less than one day and didn’t cause any major disruption to the family who were able to remain in the property while the cavity wall insulation works were carried out.

Fully Certified and Guaranteed: As Certified KIWA Installers and members of the Insulation Assurance Authority (IAA) Guarantee Scheme (LINK) - our work is carried out in full compliance with KIWA certification standards and is covered by guarantee (typically 10 years).
